In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the beautiful art of modern calligraphy using an elegant pointed pen technique. Whether you’ve never picked up a calligraphy pen before, just want to try something new, or looking to refine your skills, this class is perfect for you!

This workshop is also perfectly timed to help you create something heartfelt and handmade, just in time for Mother’s Day. Whether it's a card, a framed quote, or a custom tag, you’ll leave with the skills (and supplies!) to make something truly special.

This workshop includes:

Foundational Techniques: Discover the basics of modern calligraphy with a focus on the pointed pen—learn how to hold your pen correctly for optimal strokes.

Basic Strokes and Letter Formation: Master the essential strokes and learn how to create each letter of the alphabet.

Connecting Letters: Learn how to connect individual letters to form words that flow beautifully on the page.

I truly believe I was born to teach! I bring nearly 20 years of experience in the field of education as both a classroom teacher and a curriculum designer. I’m deeply rooted in the world of education and passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching hundreds of students the art of calligraphy, and every class reminds me why I love what I do. At KLR Calligraphy, my mission is to bring joy to your world through the art of calligraphy. This workshop isn’t just about learning how to write beautifully—it’s a joyful journey into creativity, self-expression, and connection.
